Bethesda really laid on the theatrics with their conference, transforming the conference centre into BETHESDALAND. It even had a frickin’ ferris wheel! Anyone would think they were trying to overcompensate for something….
Here is the breakdown of the Bethesda showcase:
Skyrim – We all know of Skyrim by now, and as if it wasn’t enough that we racked up more play time than all our Netflix box sets combined, with the only escape being when we had to leave the house. Bethesda are releasing a portable version on the Switch. Goodbye reality.
Fallout 4 VR and Doom VR – Continuing their work towards destroying reality, Bethesda announced that 2 of their key first person games will be getting a VR injection. Fallout 4 and Doom will now let you really get in the face of their biggest and baddest. (Side note, Skyrim is also getting VR, no biggie)
The Evil Within 2 – The original was not without its flaws… and criticism… and sceptics… but it wasn’t all THAT bad. Bethesda certainly thought so anyways and have gone ahead with a sequel announced with this nice little cinematic trailer. And credit where credits due it is looking good and will definitely be worth looking into as more info becomes available.
Wolfenstein II: The Colossus – After Bethesda’s rather successful attempt at rebooting the Wolfenstein franchise it only makes sense that we would see a sequel (Gotta make money somehow right?). This time around we are going to see a guerrilla style attempt to clear those pesky Nazis out of America.
Creation Club – Mods for Bethesda’s games has always been a big deal. Even more so when console support became a thing. Not wanting to miss out on this the company has now given birth to the Creation Club, an archive of mods available for purchase from both in-house and independent creators.
